A nice, quiet, relaxing weekend..... or not!

I had grand intentions of doing nothing but watching General Conference and studying this weekend. I was going to watch church in my jammies and conquer accounting. Those were my only two goals for the weekend.

Well, you all know what they say about the best laid plans....

Friday night was Kathy's birthday dinner at Amanda's. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and enjoyed the beautiful fall evening. Mom and Kathleen came so it was extra special!

After the BBQ I headed home to study. I stopped at Target to buy cat treats (don't judge me, he's spoiled but it's ok, he makes me happy) and I fell victim to the impulse counter. I am the perfect consumer. I bought Ironman, which I hadn't seen yet, just because I'd heard so many good things about it. I got home and Zeke, Amanda and I watched it. I LOVED it!!! Robert Downey Jr. is a genius!

Saturday morning dawned rainy and wet, which was perfect for a day of studying and watching General Conference, right?

I was just getting settled in to watch conference when Mom called. She and Kathleen were headed to
Gardner Village and wanted to know if I wanted to join them. I told her I was going to stay home and she was ok with that. Of course after I hung up the phone I talked myself into going so I called her back and told her to swing by and get me.

I'm so glad I went! We had a great time even though it was raining really hard the whole time we were there. They were all decked out for Halloween with pumpkins and witches- it was so fun! I spent way too much money but oh well!

Sunday I did actually watch Sunday mornings session of conference and listened to the afternoon session. I loved listening to our General Authorities! How blessed we are.
Sunday afternoon we headed to Provo for dinner at Elaine's to celebrate Kathy, Ashley and Laura's birthday.

Although I didn't accomplish my goals for the weekend it was still a fabulous weekend full of family, fun and laughter. I feel like I need a weekend to recover from my weekend =)

Gardner Villiage is one of my favorite places to shop! I love it there during the holidays. I spend way too much money too...
