Snowy Sunday afternoons

should always be spent like this~

Food for Thought Friday

What was the last thing you ordered on-line?
My Twilight 3 Disc DVD from Target… it still hasn’t arrived =(

What is your favorite dessert at a restaurant?
There are so many! The first one that comes to mind is Death by Chocolate from Bennigan’s- yummy!!!

What is the funnest game you have played recently?
I’m trying to remember the last time I played a game- I think it was that crazy Uno game on New Year’s Eve.

Midnight Snack
What job(s) did you have while in high school/college?
This list could be really long considering I’m still in college, I think I’ll just stick with high school. I did a lot of babysitting until I was old enough to have a “real” job. My first job was at K-Mart in the shoe department and then I worked at Naturalizer Shoes.

Musical Monday

I've had a really crappy day. There were several inches of snow on the ground this morning, which is not a good way to start the day. I was rushing to get to my 7 AM class and ended up locking my keys, purse and books in my car so I went into class with nothing to take notes on. Luckily Amanda came to my rescue and brought my extra key to me. My day at work was ok but I had to go to a two hour meeting which is never any fun. Plus I forgot the cord for my I-pod so I had to listen to the radio all day which was really annoying! Then I had to go take an accounting test so by the time I got in my car to come home I had had a really long day. I knew exactly what I needed.... Josh! I plugged in my I-pod and pushed play on the Josh playlist and felt myself relax with the first notes of the song. The song was Awake, which I love~

I was actually at the concert where this video was recorded- it was the best concert ever!!!
I love the lyrics... I'm sure it was written as a love song but I think it applies to so many relationships. How often would you love to freeze a moment in time and never have anything change?
So keep me awake to memorize you
Give me more time to feel this way
We can't stay like this forever
But I can have you next to me today
If I could make these moments endless
If I could stop the winds of change
If we just keep our eyes wide open
Then everything would stay the same

So keep me awake for every moment
Give us more time to be this way
We can't stay like this forever
But I can have you next to me today

Remember all the love we shared today

You can find all the lyrics here.
It amazes me how his voice can calm me so quickly.

Team Victoria!

Last night Rachelle Lefevre was in town for a Twilight DVD release party. Rachelle played the nomadic vampire Victoria in Twilight.

Rachelle was amazing! She is stunning in person!!! Oh my goodness!!!

Because I was there with Lisa (the founder of TwilightMOMS) I was able to stand over towards the media section and watch Rachelle interact with the fans. I didn't ever go through the line because I didn't want to loose my spot with a view but luckily Lisa was able to get a DVD and Calendar signed for Team Shari and Rae sweetalked the manager into giving us some autographed DVD's without going through the line. (YAY!!!!)

I'm actually glad that I didn't stand in the line and wait for an autograph because I was able to stand and watch Rachelle interact with everyone that came through the line. From what I understand she was supposed to show up, sign a few autographs and then take off. She arrived about 10:30 pm and I'm sure was planning on being gone by midnight. But that's not what happened. Rachelle sat down and started signing autographs and except for a few short breaks (for food and water) she signed until almost 2 AM! She signed something for every single person standing in line. I have no clue how many people were there but it was easily 2,000. Not only did she sign stuff for everyone but she greeted everyone that came through the line with a smile. What a trooper!!! It was obvious to me that she truly appreciated the Twilight Fans and their support.

We decided last night that Rachelle is so cool that Victoria's plot line needs to be rewritten. We just can't have it end the way it does in Eclipse. I'm thinking something along the lines of when Edward tells her James was just using her she will have a change of heart and want to become a vegetarian vampire- doesn't that sound good? That way Rachelle can still be around for Breaking Dawn ;)

In the Twilight world the debate always seems to be Team Edward or Team Jacob... I've decided that I'm now officially Team Victoria!

These are just a couple of shots I took last night. I had such a killer view!!!

Here is Rachelle and Lisa. To quote one of the news reporters that was there- "LaFevre walked right up to Hansen and greeted her as if she knew her.”

Greg (our webmaster/photographer) got some amazing shots- check them out here.

Food for Thought Friday

If your job made you move, but you could choose which country you would be living in, which country would you choose and why?
Germany. I love everything about Germany- the history, the architecture, the people, the atmosphere, the food, the fests, the countryside, the villages, the chocolate… the list goes on and on.

Do you have any phobias?
I’m not sure as I would go as far as to call them phobias but I do have an irrational fear of spiders and snakes.

What is something you can't help but spend money on?
Movies and music- I have no control.

Midnight Snack
What profession/job did your parent(s) have while you were growing up?
My Mom was a stay at home mom for the majority of my growing up years. Dad was a social worker in the Army.

The Hunger Games Movie

Guess what, guess what, guess what!!!! The Hunger Games is going to be made into a movie!!!! I'm just a little bit excited about it!! It's in the very beginning planning stages so it's going to be a while before it's out, I'm just thrilled that it's going to be made.

If you haven't read the book read it NOW!! It doesn't matter what genre of book you usually read, I haven't met anyone that didn't love this book.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

My friend Adriene shared this with me. It's late and I'm super tired so I thought it was hysterical. We'll see how funny you all think it is or how funny I think it is tomorrow ;)

Musical Monday

I've decided to add a music day to my blog. I'm going to try and post some of my favorite songs every Monday.

This week it's Ugly Side by Blue October. I fell in love with this song when I saw Justin Furstenfeld sing it at the LA Breaking Dawn concert. It really struck a chord with me. How many of us only want to show our favorite part of ourselves and want to hide our ugly side? I think it's a battle we all have daily. One of this world's greatest treasures is people that we can show our ugly sides to and they still love us.

"Ugly Side"
I must have sneezed
On knees I freeze I mean
I just choked up
Somehow I slept I dream,
I mean I dreamt of nothing
Able to breathe
A sweet relief
Now that you're here with me
A northern degree
Dove into me
Now I'm recovering

I only want you to see
My favorite part of me
And not my ugly side
Not my ugly side

Hook up a C.B. Wave a way
For conversation flow
I'm shoved in your cave, to wage this rage
Don't let me go
A kick and a scream is all that seems
To mean a lot thus far I won't let you on my stage, my page
You can't know
Yet you have to know

I only want you to see
My favorite part of me
And not my ugly side
Not my ugly side

So calm... and now it's dark
I look for you to light my heart
I'm in between the moon and where you are
I know... I can't be far

It's ok Peter, I still love you~

Recently I have developed a celebrity crush on this guy-

His name is Peter Facinelli and he plays Carlisle Cullen in Twilight. I had never heard of Peter before he was cast as Carlisle so I've been wanting to see some of his other work. My friend DVR'd Fastlane for me so I could watch it. Very, very late last night or early this morning, whichever way you want to look at it we watched 3 or 4 episodes. Oh my gosh... I'm not sure I can even put into words how horrible the show is. The writing is horrid, the acting substandard (except Peter, of course), the plots are pretty much non-existent. Wow! It's a good thing I was really, really tired or I might have been offended by the insult to my intelligence. The really weird thing is that we couldn't turn it off, we just kept watching. I'm blaming it on the sleep deprivation and sugar overload.
I've decided to not hold the lost brain cells against Peter though... he's just too beautiful to hold a grudge against.

Food for Thought Friday

What is the longest consecutive time you have spent in a car?
Without stopping? I have no clue. I have spent abut 4 days in a row in a car when we moved from Washington DC to Denver.

Where would you go if you were invisible?
The possibilities are endless…

If you could swim in any liquid what would it be and why?
I think I will stick with water- anything else would be icky.

Midnight Snack
What store do you shop at the most?

And because I've had several people ask- I get the questions for Food for Thought Friday here.

Food for Thought Friday

What is the most interesting car you have ever owned and why?
I’m not sure I’ve ever owned a car I would call interesting. I did drive a Mercedes for quite a few years. That sounds cool until you realize that it was 25 year old Mercedes. It was a good car though- that thing was a tank!

What book are you currently reading?
I’m currently re-reading City of Ashes so I’m ready for City of Glass to come out on March 24th!!! I’m SO excited! It’s going to be amazing!!!

Did you have any pets growing up?
We had fish named Rock and Tree. We also had a few cats- Bandit in Texas, Alex and Tigger in Colorado and we got Shadow in Germany. I’m pretty sure we had a cat and a dog when we lived in Colorado Springs but I can’t remember their names.

Midnight Snack
How do you unwind at night?
I read- even I'm so exhausted that I can barely see straight I have to read something, even if it’s just a page or two.

Thursday, March 5

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that next week is Spring Break.

That picture tag thingy...

I've seen this floating around on several blogs and Lyn finally tagged me so here goes.

1. Go to your documents/pictures folder
2. Go to the 6th file folder
3. Go to the 6th picture
4. Blog about it.

One day I could hear Erin and Ashlyn playing underneath the stairs right outside my door. I went to investigate to see what they were up to. I found them playing house. It was so cute! My favorite part (aside from the cute faces) is the bed made out of cereal boxes.

Just for kicks and giggles I also went to my Family folder and then picked the 6th picture in the 6th folder within my Family folder~This is from our trip to Denver for Shori's blessing. Tegan was being cute while we were at dinner so I snapped a shot of his cheesy grin.
I also went into my TwilightMOMS gatherings folder and found the 6th picture in the 6th folder there~
This is my cute and crazy friend Amy. It is from our weekend of craziness during The Host signings. We had been to breakfast and were walking back to the hotel and stopped to get some pictures by the flowers. I love this picture- it's just so Amy!
