Vegas, Baby!

Laura, Genell and I went on a little road trip to Vegas for the Blue October concert. (Yes, another Blue October concert)

We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel. It was really nice and extremely convenient since that was where the concert was.

Because of the concert was general admission we got in line early. The line was fabulous (as far as lines go). I met some people that I've been interacting with on-line for quite a while. It was nice to put faces with the names.

We had a great spot at the concert to start with.
Reese and Casie from 1-800-Suicide came out to talk about the organizations associated with the Pick Up the Phone Tour and Suicide Awareness. They do such amazing work, I'm in awe!

The Parlotones were the opening act and I was really impressed. I liked them a lot.

Sadly due to some crowd drama we ended watching Blue October perform from the very back of the venue. Even from the back of the venue the guys didn't disappoint.

Las Vegas is such a great spot for people watching. We were highly amused through most of our trip. One of the best people watching moments was in the restaurant after the concert. This couple was pretty much completely passed out in their booth. They did manage to get up and stumble away but not before we laughed at them :)

Colors!

A couple of weeks ago Aja, Maelyn and I went to a Colors concert at the Sandy Ampitheater. It was a gorgeous night, perfect for an outdoor concert.
(Maelyn took this pic- not bad for a 3 year old!)

The opening act was a guy named Ryan Innes. He blew me away!  What a voice he has! This video clip isn't from our concert but it still gives you taste of how amazing he is.

Colors was wonderful, as usual. These guys are so talented and always put on a great concert. It was fun to hear their songs performed live again. They just released a new CD so we got to hear the songs off Beautiful Motion plus a lot of their other songs. Russ sang Soledad, which is my favorite Colors song, so I was a very happy girl. This is Boston off of the new CD.

After the concert we stopped to chat with Ryan and grab a couple of pictures.

Great friends and great music makes for a wonderful night.

Another trip to Forks

When I went to Forks in 2008 I had just thrown my back out and was on narcotics so I was pretty high through out the entire trip. Because of that the majority of my trip is really foggy. So when a group of my friends were planning a trip I jumped at the chance to go back.

It was so nice to go back to the area with a clear head. We went to Port Angeles, Forks, Cape Flattery, La Push and the Hoh Rainforest. Even if you do not read Twilight (*gasp*) I would highly recommend a trip to the area. It's so gorgeous!!!

I'm not going to overload this post with pictures, here are just a few of our group in different spots. You can see all of my pictures here.

The Magnificent Pacific Northwest

I fell head over heels with the Pacific Northwest in the week that was up there. It was so gorgeous! We had beautiful weather everyday but one and even the rainy day was beautiful in it's own special way.

Here are a few of my scenic shots from my trip. I can't wait to go back!
