The Death Cure Launch Party

On October 11th my friends and I attended the launch party for James Dashner's The Death Cure at The King's English. James talked about the book, answered audience questions (actually he evaded quite a few of the questions because his agent was in the audience and he's not supposed to talk about movie news or what he's working on next), read from the book and then signed books.

Christy, Bonnie, me, Ali, and Rae with James

As with all events at The King's English and James, it was a fabulous evening!!!

The Death Cure is the final book in The Maze Runner series so none of you have any reason/excuse not to read it. Like the first two books in the series, The Death Cure, will blow you away! Read it NOW!!!

Pumpkin Nutella Goodness

The other day my friend Sophie tweeted a link to a recipe for Pumpkin Nutella Swirl Bread. Ever since then I've been thinking about how amazing that combo sounded, so tonight I stopped at the store and bought the ingredients to make it.
Seriously, how can you go wrong with Nutella and pumpkin?!?!

My apartment smelled divine while these were baking!! They should make a candle that smells like this bread!! The only problem would be that every time I used the candle I would want to bake bread.

Oh my goodness!!! It is SO good!!!! You all must try it!!! The recipe is here. (Her pictures are much prettier than mine, I was being lazy and just used my phone)

Happy Birthday Kathy and Ben!

Last Sunday we got together to celebrate Kathy and Ben's birthdays.

When Amanda asked Ben what kind of cake he wanted he told her he wanted a chest. I don't think this is what he meant ;)

Random cuteness-

Uncle Doug

My Great Uncle Doug passed away on September 28, 2011. Doug was married to my Grandma's sister, Nida Mae.

This is the last picture I have of Uncle Doug. I'm pretty sure this was the last time he made it out to the reunion.

Doug was very specific about not wanting at funeral so a family viewing and graveside service was planned. I took a few pictures of the day.

I love this picture of Britian and Ellie chatting.

Cairo played the violin for his Grandpa.

John and Dayton

It was a beautiful day.

Blue October Concert in Salt Lake

On September 23rd Blue October came to Salt Lake on their Any Man In America tour. My friends and I got to the venue early enough that we got a spot on the rail.
Britten and Amy- aren't they gorgeous?!?!

Me and my Christy- we are too cute!!

Crowd shot from the tour manager- I'm in the bottom left hand corner of the photo.

My favorite shot of the evening- Ryan doing what he does.

The rest of my pictures can be seen here.

2011 Howard Family Reunion

Our annual Howard Family Reunion is usually held in August but because of multiple people not being able to make it that weekend we switched it to a weekend in September. We had a total of 35 people staying at Mom & Dad's that weekend. It was complete chaos but tons of fun. Here are just a few of the pictures I took over the weekend.

More pictures can be seen here.

Blue October in Las Vegas- 2011 Version

My friends and I from California, Colorado, Texas, Utah and Luxembourg (!!!!) converged on Las Vegas for the Blue October concert at the beginning of September. It was a fabulous weekend full of laughter, great music and amazing friends!

I can't wait until the next tour so that we can plan another weekend to get together!

(I got some great shots of the concert too. You can see them here.)
